Reader Critical Response Manifest
good read
LOVED the Harry Potter books!
Harry Potter...what more can I say?
This series has now moved into the category of one I have re-read so many times, I've lost count. I rate it as a whole because I just can't separate them anymore. I love HP for all of the right reasons and I will never try and take it/tear it apart.
This series is just incredible! The characters, plot, setting, and voice all work together so perfectly. I also recommend reading the book in UK English. There are differences with word choices which really give a more accurate feel for Rowling's writing style. However, the illustrations in the Scholastic editions are better than that of the Bloomsbury editions.
Especially loved the first two books. I didn't like the Goblet of Fire too much. Other than that, I grew up with Harry, so it really reminds me of my childhood and I like that.
An uplifting tale of good vs evil. Its the details that one has to read the books for. Wonderful moments that one can connect to through out the 7 books. Friendship, loyalty, courage, hope and sacrifice..presented in an alluring world of magic and wizardry. And Hogwarts. And Hogsmeade. And the Black Lake. And the Dark Forest. Yes...the details they missed in the films. So grab your copies now!
